This program is designed to spark curiosity and innovation in young learners through the use of LEGO WeDo 2.0 robots, combining the fun of play with the practical application of STEM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Through building and programming LEGO robots, children will learn how to turn ideas into reality while developing essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork—all within an engaging, hands-on learning environment.
They will also be introduced to the basics of visual programming, the concept of robotics, robot components, types of gears, and how movement is transferred between them. Each session involves designing and programming a different robot model.
Basic STEM 1: Animals
This level focuses on exploring the diverse world of animals. Children will build and program robots that mimic the movements and behaviours of various creatures, helping them understand fundamental concepts in biology and environmental adaptation through practical, creative applications.
Basic STEM 2: Space
In this level, children will go on a journey into outer space, where they’ll design and build space vehicles and exploratory robots. Along the way, they’ll learn about planets, stars, and the principles of space exploration through imaginative and exciting hands-on projects.
