Scientific Competitions for Exploration & Applied Engineering Foundations
Over an intensive 3 to 6-month training program, students progress from random building to purposeful engineering design, discovering how technology can be used to solve real-world challenges. Throughout the program, children learn to think like young engineers by designing, testing, and improving innovative solutions through engaging, hands-on STEM activities.
Our Learning Approach
The program is built around the internationally recognized Engineering Design Process (EDP), which guides students through four essential stages:
Imagine → Build → Test → Improve
This structured approach encourages creativity, critical thinking, perseverance, and continuous improvement while helping students understand that every challenge is an opportunity to innovate.
Key Learning Outcomes
Computational Thinking & Coding Logic
Students develop computational thinking skills by learning how robots interpret and execute sequential commands using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential. Through visual programming, they understand logical structures such as “If this happens… then do that,” building a strong foundation for future programming and robotics.
Mechanical Engineering & Scientific Analysis
Children explore how motors, gears, and smart sensors—such as color and distance sensors—work together to solve practical engineering challenges. They connect these scientific principles to real-life applications while developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
Engineering Documentation & Scientific Inquiry
Teams learn to document every stage of their engineering journey in an Engineering Notebook, recording ideas, observations, test results, and improvements. This process develops scientific thinking, organization, and evidence-based decision-making.
Preparing Future Engineers & Innovators
By the end of the program, students work collaboratively to design and develop innovative technological solutions to real-world problems. They strengthen their teamwork, critical thinking, engineering, and presentation skills while confidently defending their ideas using evidence, testing results, and logical reasoning.
National STEM Showcase & Competition
The program concludes with a prestigious national event that brings together students from across Egypt. Each team proudly presents its engineering project and achievements before a distinguished panel of university professors, engineers, and technical specialists. This unique experience gives students valuable exposure to professional judging, constructive feedback, teamwork, public speaking, and real-world innovation—while celebrating their creativity and accomplishments.
